Description
Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy departed, the distillery was left in tatters, and - after a long compensation battle involving the House of Lords - the distillery was brought back online in 1922. Now Dalmore, under the stewardship of Richard Paterson, presents itself as a luxury brand, with some of its bottlin ... This Dalmore expression was distilled in 2006 and aged for 10 years, initially in first fill bourbon barrels before being moved to specially selected Beam barrels for the final 2 years. It was originally bottled for the French market, offering a gentler, more floral and bourbon-led profile.
