Dewar's 12 Year Old Ancestor is a Blended Scotch Whisky, crafted from up to 40 different malt and grain whiskies, with the heart of the malt component coming from Aberfeldy distillery. It undergoes a signature "double aging" process where the blend is returned to oak casks for an additional six months of marrying after initial maturation and blending, resulting in enhanced smoothness.
