Nose
Fresh and zesty with lemon sponge cake, vanilla pod, green apples, and a hint of wood. Notes of milk chocolate, creamed caramel, and Rolos are present, alongside clover, alfalfa, bell pepper, apples, and peaches. There are also hints of sultanas, figs, floral notes, lemon pastry, acacia honey, red apples, oats, cranberries, tobacco leaves, and caramel.
Palate
Medium and viscous mouthfeel, with a noticeable warmth. Flavors include powdered sugar, malted milk balls, Heath Bars, and eucalyptus. Juicy barley leads to sweet candied nuts, baking spices, burnt sugar, buttered tea loaf, and fresh vanilla pod. Further notes of honey, sultanas, red apples, dark chocolate, oats, cranberries, black pepper, cinnamon, and ginger. Some leather, green spice (pepper, nutmeg, juniper), barley notes, walnuts, and milk chocolate are also detected.
Finish
Medium to long, with lingering eucalyptus and mint, and a touch of bitterness. A spicy note, almost like cayenne pepper, can be found. Buttery malt, toasted oak, earthy notes of clove and peppered plum, wholegrain bread, hay, drying oak spice, a slightly alcoholic edge, and a hint of toffee complete the experience.
