Description

One of the largest malt distilleries in the Diageo portfolio and primarily tasked with providing fillings for its blends. This was also the case under previous ownership and single malt bottlings are rare. Today it is one of three distilleries that contribute to The Singleton single malt brand. Independent bottler Thompson Bros has released this seriously sherried single malt Dufftown, matured for 16 years in oak. One of only 218 bottles produced.

Palate
Rich, sweet and thick. Sherry sweetness (Maraschino cherries, fig jam) and spices (ginger and hot chili jam). With water: Ripe cherries, caramel, peanut butter.
Finish
Quite long and warming, somewhat sweet but very moreish.
