Description

Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises - located next to the Springbank distillery - also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries. With their own warehouse stocked full of exciting whiskies, this Dufftown-Glenlivet 16 Year Old is part of their Authentic Collection.

Initially a little tight, with notes of pear, green apple, thyme, light pepper, creamy orchard fruits, herbal & floral, gooseberries, kaffir lime leaves, foam bananas, chamomile lotion, apple blossom, candy floss, and white pepper.
Palate
Sweetness leads with golden syrup and sugar syrup, minimal spice, a touch of pepper, lime, subtle dark chocolate, pineapple, blood orange, rich and creamy floral fruits, key lime pie, vanilla blossom, apple candy floss, pear juice, tart gooseberries, faint bubblegum, and chamomile.
Finish
Medium-length with lingering sweetness, bubblegum, stone fruits, peach, candyfloss, kaffir lime leaves, lemon pith, apple skins, white pepper, flamed lemon peel, and over steeped chamomile tea.
