Description

One of the original Flora & Fauna releases from 1991, the Dufftown was produced until 2006 when the distillery was included in the new The Singleton stable by Diageo. One of the largest malt distilleries in the Diageo portfolio and primarily tasked with providing fillings for its blends. This was also the case under previous ownership and single malt bottlings are rare. Today it is one of three distilleries that contribute to The Singleton single malt brand. The Flora & Fauna Collection was introduced in 1991 by United Distillers to showcase their single malts.

Nose
Delicate aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and honey, with a subtle touch of oak. Sweet and clean, honeyed, fruity, caramel tart and tart apricots. Slight minty freshness followed by smoky notes.
Palate
Smooth and balanced, offering notes of dried fruit, toffee and cinnamon, with a hint of black pepper. Honeyed, sweet, rich with a lovely texture. Spicy with gingerbread, mint chocolate and sweet smoke.
Finish
Long and warm, leaving lingering flavors of fruit and spice on the palate, with a subtle touch of toasted oak. Persistent, smooth, malty, sweet.
