Description

Scotland's first ever combined brewing and distilling complex. The brewery operation opened in 2012, with the distillery following in 2014, quickly making a name for itself for its popular gin brand before launching its debut single malt in 2018. This 2019 Release was crafted by Head Distiller Scott Ferguson and features artwork by local Fife artist Hilke MacIntyre on its presentation box. It was matured in a mix of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Bourbon casks.

Nose
Sherry forward flavours. Reminiscent of cherry sweetness with notes of vanilla fudge, with hints of spiciness throughout. Light hint of spice.
Palate
Balance of sweet, spice and light notes of toasted fruits. Remains sweet and fruity, with hints of cocoa and caramelised biscuits beneath. Malty-sweet towards the end.
Finish
Biscuit sweetness and sherry flavours fade to a spicy peppery character, which in turn develops with an aromatic cassia spice.
