Description

Having been in specialist and craft Scotch Whisky production for generations, Douglas Laing originally exported blends, but now carries the family name down the line by focusing on bottling exceptional single malts and grains as part of their Old Particular, Provenance and XOP ranges. They also enjoy huge success with their "Remarkable Regional Malts" range; a series of creatively named vatted malts. This Epicurean Cask Strength Glasgow Edition is a limited edition blended malt bottling, created in collaboration with Glaswegian bartenders and spirit experts, and is part of Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts series. It pays tribute to the city of Glasgow, where Douglas Laing & Co. has been located for 70 years.

Nose
Perfectly fruity with sweet pear, green apples, crushed brown sugar and marshmallow. Fresh barley and zesty lemon top notes, backed up by a whiff of peppery rye bread.
Palate
Lashings of runny honey on toasted brioche with soft fruits and moving to red apple. Heavy with vanilla and Victoria sponge cake. Grassy at points with mint leaf herbaceousness.
Finish
Medium long carrying sweet malted barley, raspberry jam, buttered scone and ginger. Subtly chocolatey on the finish, with pleasant traces of beeswax, apricot and white pepper.
