Description

The Four Roses 135th Anniversary Limited Edition Small Batch 2023 is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey released to celebrate the brand's 135th anniversary, established in 1888. This annual limited-quantity bottling is the 16th in its series and was crafted by Master Distiller Brent Elliott. It is a blend of four hand-selected bourbons aged between 12 and 25 years, including 12-year-old OESV, 14-year-old OESK, 16-year-old OESV, and a 25-year-old OBSV recipe, the oldest bourbon ever used in a Four Roses Limited Edition. Bottled at 54% ABV (108 proof) and non-chill filtered, approximately 15,060 hand-numbered bottles were released.

Nose
Aromas of allspice, vanilla, and elegant oak mingle with hints of cinnamon and clove. Rich oak, caramel, molasses, anise, caraway, and leather are also present.
Palate
Rich layers of honey, vanilla, and rye spice are balanced with flavors of ripe berries and pear. Aged oak, tobacco, stone fruit, caramel, brown sugar, and baking spices like clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg are noted.
Finish
Long and mellow, with lingering caramel sweetness, allspice, and a delicate hint of cinnamon. Notes of red fruit, raspberry, oak, and chocolate can also be found.
