Description

This is a rare Lowland single grain Scotch whisky from the Garnheath distillery, which operated within the Moffat complex from 1965 to 1986. This Cooper's Choice single cask bottling was distilled in 1986, its final year of production, and bottled in 2015 at 28 years old. Only 410 bottles were produced. The Cooper's Choice is a range of single cask bottlings from The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, founded in 1992 by Brian Cook, aiming to present malt whiskies from fine distilleries to independent importers worldwide.

Palate
Smooth and elegant, opening with toffee apples, butterscotch, and creamy oak, followed by gentle spice and soft floral notes. Develops yet more orange notes, with touches of tobacco.
Finish
Long and graceful, leaving lingering hints of vanilla, toasted oak, and a subtle fruity sweetness. Lingering nutmeg and ginger.
