Description

From private stocks of the Grant Family, and forming part of the Rare Cask Reserve range, this 26-year-old blended malt whisky is the result of an exquisite marriage between whisky from Ladyburn and Inverleven - two closed Lowland Distilleries. Ladyburn was operational from 1966 to 1975, and Inverleven from 1938 to 1991. One of 4,530 numbered bottles crafted by Master Blender Brian Kinsman.

Nose
Light, fruity, and delicate with tropical notes of dried peach, mango, and pineapple, alongside dusty, woody earthiness, ginger, cinnamon, and malted barley. Hints of cashew nuts, toffee, dark chocolate, fresh orange peel, and freshly baked bread. Lemongrass, underripe pineapple, fresh cut grass, hay, starfruit, and Korean melon are also present.
Palate
Incredibly soft, gentle, and juicy with delicate bittersweet malted barley notes, earthy wood spices, and ginger. Golden syrup, dried tropical fruits, vanilla, almond, and candied orange peel. Spices like cinnamon, vanilla pods, and pepper are prominent, along with orange peel, pineapple, papaya, warm toffee, and raisin notes. Lightly waxy with roasted barley tea, vanilla, bourbon cream biscuits, and jasmine tea.
Finish
Long, initially fresh and sweet, transitioning to earthy, woody, and warming spices. Dark chocolate, reminiscent of sticky toffee pudding. Chocolate biscuits, drying, and floral notes.
