Description

A historic Highland malt distillery and one of the oldest still operating in Scotland. Established in the heart of Old Meldrum back in 1797, it is today part of the Beam Suntory portfolio and produces a non-peated spirit which is entirely reserved for its single malt brand.

Nose
Light and fruity with notes of pears, peaches, vanilla, caramel, lemon, lemon curd, hay, and a very distant spiciness.
Palate
Lightly spicy, a little thin, becoming more dry with lemony flavour, hay, a touch of oak and grass. Fruity and quite strong with a prickling sensation, faint hint of oakiness and sweetness.
Finish
More oak and malt, losing freshness, not too long. Middle to long aftertaste with a little oakiness, becoming more fruity over time.
