There’s a pleasing thread of bread through this whisky, from sourdough and pumpernickel on the nose to multigrain bread and focaccia on the palate. Candied orange and ginger bring a bright, spicy edge, while herb butter, rosemary and sea salt add a savory turn. The long, sweet-malt finish with toasted bread sounds like a satisfying close. It’s a layered character, but the familiar bread and citrus notes give it an approachable shape.
