Description
Glen Garioch distillery was founded in 1797 by John Manson, making it amongst the oldest distilleries in Scotland. It is known for its heavy, thick, cereal and spicy notes, which are attributed to its short fermentation period. This is a 12-year-old official bottling for The National Trust for Scotland, released in 2003. It is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at 43% ABV. The contemporary Glen Garioch is an un-peated single malt and is non-chill filtered.
