Description

One of the biggest names in Scotland's Speyside region, currently under Italian ownership by the Campari Group. Opened in 1840 by James and John Grant, it has one of Scotch whisky's longest-running single malt brands and played a key role in the emergence of the category in the 20th century.

Nose
Delicate aromas of green apple and honey with further aromas of vanilla, malted cereals and dried grass. Hints of lemon zest and fresh coconut.
Palate
Fresh and vibrant with sharp, zesty lemon and vanilla notes. Lovely honey and malted barley characteristics combine with fresh green fruit notes (crisp apples, unripe pears, white grapes). Background hints of dried apricot, icing sugar, cinnamon and white chocolate.
Finish
Short but pleasant. Sweet vanilla and honey disappear, leaving drier, spicier and bittersweet notes of malty cereals, dried grass and bitter lemon zest.
