Nose
The nose is full and chewy with a good body. There are notes of toffee and honeyed spice. Notes of cloves and mulled wine with a good, tannic chewy oak. A touch of black pepper and sultana.
Palate
The palate is rich and full. The balance is superb with a perfect sweetness, notes of calvados and apple peels, notes of juicy pears and winter fruitcake.
Finish
The finish is long with sherry and toffee.
