Nose
Sour mash up front, then yoghurt. Linseed oil and shoe polish. Cranberries underneath it all. There are other fruits - unripe raspberries for example, some sour grapes. It is petrol-y.
Palate
Sadly this is a bit thin. Medicinal but not in that huge iodine way of an islay. It is slightly meaty which is very nice, and brambley. There is some cacao and some salt and umami.
Finish
Long lasting, some coffee, gets a bit woody.
