One of Scotland's most prolific whisky companies, founded as an independent bottler by Andrew Symington in 1988. Complex and mature, with notes of dried fruits, polished oak, soft peat smoke, dark toffee, hints of leather and spice, baking notes (biscuit), and candied fruits (pear).
Palate
Rich and layered, offering flavours of raisins, fig, treacle, gentle smoke, spiced oak, balanced with a velvety, aged texture, fruity (grape, lemon), roasted and honeyed (acacia).
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering sherried sweetness, subtle smoke, refined oak spice, earthy peat (clay), and a very complex youthful expression (blueberry, cocoa, cinnamon).
