Description

Distilled by master craftsmen on the banks of the River Isla and aged in the finest traditional oak casks, this is a smooth, distinctive single malt with hints of freshly-picked orchard fruits and rich toffee notes. This is the first permanent official bottling from the re-opened Glen Keith distillery since its revival in 2013, and it is a no-age-statement release.

Nose
Sweet and crisp with orchard fruits and a malty character. Toffee apples and banana skins linger. Sweet vanilla sugar, toffee and soft fruits. Hints of mango, berries and breakfast tea. Fresh apple slice, apricots, bitter almonds, lightly herbal/floral/grassy.
Palate
Through oaked dryness and an oily note comes vanilla sweetness with helpings of apricot yogurt, dried mango and nectarines. Suggestions of chocolate pudding, a slight grassiness and a little spice form the backdrop. Vanilla, some honey, a touch of bitter tea and an assortment of oak spices. Light on the palate with bitter almond, very slightly sweet with vanilla, toffee and pears.
Finish
Subtle floral notes and new oak, with a little honey. Lingering spices and a touch of menthol. Medium in length. Subtle sweetness, with more bitter almonds and orange peel. Quite short with oak spice and a grainy note.
