Description

A former malt distillery that was located in Inverness, neighbouring the Glen Albyn distillery. It was built in 1894 by Mackinlay's & Birnie before eventually being acquired by the Distillers Company in 1972. It was closed in 1983 and the site demolished three years later. This particular bottling is a 1965 vintage, matured for 32 years, and bottled in 1997 by Gordon & MacPhail, one of Scotland's most important independent bottlers. Bottlings of Glen Mhor single malt are becoming increasingly rare.
