Description

Converted from Elgin West Brewery in 1897, the Glen Moray distillery was owned by Glenmorangie plc until it was purchased in 2008 by La Martiniquaise. This 'Cider Cask Project' is the first release from the new Glen Moray Elgin Curiosity Range, matured in casks that were previously used to hold Thistly Cross Scottish craft cider. It is a small batch, UK exclusive release, limited to 2,000 bottles.

Nose
Aromas of a fragrant, crisp orchard with sweet vanilla and caramel notes. Reminiscent of a fairground. Toffee apple and candy floss.
Palate
Smooth and warming. Creamy rich toffee with spice notes, joining the crisp orchard fruit from the nose. Incredibly light and fresh. Summer fruits accompanied by vanilla ice cream sprinkled with toasted oats.
Finish
Sweet with satisfying, lingering spice and a light, crisp apple note. Smooth and satisfying. Caramelised apple laced with spice mixed perfectly with vanilla fudge, slowly melting on the tongue.
