Description

A Speyside malt distillery that was originally built as a brewery in 1828 before converting to whisky production in 1897. This superb 28 year old Speyside single malt was laid to rest at the Glen Moray distillery on the 30th April 1974 and hand-bottled at the distillery on the 1st May 2002 under the Distillery Manager's Choice label. This full-bodied malt was yielded at a natural strength 53.4% ABV, specially selected by the distillery manager, Ed Dodson, and is one of just 676 bottles.

Nose
Rich and mellow. Honey, toffee, sultana alongside walnut, nutmeg and dry, biscuity malt. Succulent and spicy, gentle yet complex.
Palate
Very sweet to start but immediately balanced by ginger and nutmeg spiciness, soft fruit (apricot, banana) and dried fruit (date). Superb balance.
Finish
Soft, tobacco.
