Description

Converted from Elgin West Brewery in 1897, the Glen Moray distillery was owned by Glenmorangie plc until it was purchased in 2008 by La Martiniquaise, the second biggest spirits company in France. Glen Moray is known for its accessible Speyside profile and extensive cask-finishing programme. This particular expression is a 15-year-old single malt from their Private Cask Collection, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2022.

Nose
Red apples and runny honey with toffee and oranges and orange marmalade with a touch of soft spice sitting in the background.
Palate
Stewed orchard fruits with sweet pastry with honey and maple syrup. Soft baking spice, golden raisins and a little peach in the background give a very rounded palate.
Finish
Sweet, with spices coming in and out until some sweet oak joins the finish. A little milk chocolate and white pepper and then the oak finally takes over.
