Description

Founded in 2015, Claxton's is an independent bottler of unique whiskies and spirits. They also have a core whisky range that includes Warehouse No.1, Warehouse No.8, Exploration Series and Grain Barn. With original stone barns and grain stores dating back as far as the 1800s, an extensive restoration project, in partnership with the Dalswinton Estate has been undertaken at Claxton's Dalswinton Bon... This particular release is a 10-year-old single cask Glen Moray from Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled at 54.5% ABV. It was matured in a refill hogshead and is non-chill filtered, with an outturn of 302 bottles.

Nose
A tornado of sweet, crisp fruits: apple, maracuja, peach, strawberry and tangerine. A thin layer of curcuma powder, with a creamy foundation of icing sugar, butter cookie and vanilla sauce.
Palate
A rush of fruits including peach, maracuja, strawberry, kiwi, kumquat, and pineapple. Grated pomelo zest, sweet whipped cream, and caramel-coated vanilla sundae.
Finish
Honey-sweet and packed with fruit, accompanied by pastry. Reminiscent of a fluffy flan base with jellied, canned fruits (peaches, tangerines, pineapples). Lingering natural coconut and sunny wood notes.
