Description

This 25-year-old was produced in 2004 as part of the annual Diageo Special Release range and was limited to 3,600 bottles. A 30-year-old was bottled in 2005 as well, before the distillery became part of The Singleton brand the following year. A malt distillery located on the Black Isle in the Scottish Highland region.

Nose
Old polished wood and sugar syrup up front. Beeswax and fruit reveal themselves as the whisky sits in the glass, along with a touch of wood glue and sweet cinnamon.
Palate
Soft and waxy, with some black pepper, sappy wood, stewed apple, sharp granny smiths, floral hints, a lick of wood smoke and some hot spiciness.
Finish
Sharp oak softened by sweet apple, apple skin, dark chocolate and a sprinkling of hot cinnamon spice.
