Description

A malt distillery located on the Black Isle in the Scottish Highland region. Part of the Diageo group, the distillery is one of only a few in Scotland that are self-sufficient in terms of malt, and its single malt has been bottled under various guises over the years, most recently as The Singleton. Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottling company in Scotland and one of the earliest and foremost advocates. This Glen Ord 19 Year Old was distilled in 2006 and matured in an Oloroso cask, bottled in April 2025 as part of Cadenhead's Natural Strength and Authentic Collection ranges. It is a single cask release, with 594 bottles produced.

Nose
Brimming with dark fruits, brown sugar, and a subtle layer of walnut. Notes of dried prunes, rum raisin, apricots, and dark chocolate, with hints of red apple, cherries, and mint.
Palate
A smooth wave of toffee, dried figs, and gentle spice, balanced by crisp malt and Oloroso sherry. Oily and soft, with dark cocoa, walnuts, rum, and hints of strawberry cream, apple, and caramel.
Finish
Satisfyingly long, showcasing lingering oak tannins, sweet raisin, and a soft, sherried glow. Medium in length with notes of spice, walnuts, dark chocolate, and dried fruits.
