Description
One of the last remaining distilleries from Campbeltown's glory days as "whisky capital of the world", Glen Scotia's versatility made it extremely useful to blenders; a factor that undoubtedly played a part in its survival of the 1920s cull. Glen Scotia has traded hands frequently. Glen Scotia Victoriana is a robust single malt whisky with a remarkable richness and depth of colour. Crafted as a modern tribute to the traditional Victorian-style Campbeltown whisky, Victoriana symbolises the ethos of Campbeltown as a whisky-making region. It is matured in first and second fill bourbon casks, then finished in heavily charred bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximenez (PX) sherry butts. [cite: Scotch Whisky Auctions, 4, 11, 13, 14, 21, 23, 24]
