Description

Glen Scotia Victoriana Cask Strength is a robust single malt whisky from Campbeltown, inspired by the Victorian era when Campbeltown was known as the 'Victorian Whisky Capital of the World'. It is bottled at cask strength and non-chill filtered. The whisky is matured in first and second fill bourbon casks, then finished for up to 12 months in heavily charred bourbon barrels and Pedro Ximenez sherry butts, before being married together for a further six months. It offers a complex flavour profile with notes of rich spices, dark fruits, vanilla, and oak, often with a subtle smoky aftertaste.

Elegant on the nose with an oaky aroma, notes of crème brulee, melted sugars, caramelised fruits and oak, with hints of toasty sugar and citrus peels.
Palate
Sweet and concentrated start with some jammy blackcurrant fruitiness, roasted sugars, spice, dark berry juiciness, and rich toasty notes. Flavors of dark chocolate and dried fruits combine with hints of honey and toffee.
Finish
Clean and initially sweet, developing into rich green bean and deep cocoa with a hint of smoke. Lingering notes of smoky oak, vanilla, and a touch of black pepper, with orchard fruits dusted with dark chocolate.
