A Speyside malt distillery located in the town after which it is named. It was built in 1967 by Mackinlay-McPherson and was traded around several notable distilling companies before being sold to Billy Walker in 2017. Nose
A warm, inviting and rather dense sherry profile. Notes of crème brûlée, caramel sauce, freshly dipped toffee apples, allspice, buttery shortbread, and dark fruits stewed in Armagnac. Hints of fig compote and plum wine. With reduction, spiced mango lassi, rapeseed oil, leathery mineral notes, wild strawberry, and tomato vine.
Palate
Initially, a savoury richness of freshly baked brown bread, bananas flambéed with brown sugar, chocolate sauce, herbal cocktail bitters, and singed raisins. With water, bitter chocolate, roasted aubergine, natural tar, ointments, espresso, burlap, earthy dunnage, and dried wild mushrooms.

Lingering notes of bitter chocolate, roasted aubergine, natural tar, ointments, espresso, burlap, earthy dunnage, and dried wild mushrooms.
