There are also prominent notes of fresh and spiced poached pear, lemongrass, epazote, and cucumber, with an elegant bouquet of dried fruits and subtle oak.
- Palate
- Rich and medium-thick, with bittersweet and malty notes. Flavors include honey pomelo, pressed flowers, almonds, and Canales, alongside strong old oak and intense dried-flowers fragrance. Tropical hints of underripe pineapple and banana, citrus oils, orgeat, and coffee cakes are present. Pears, grapefruit, lemongrass, and epazote contribute a pungent character, which becomes fruitier with water, revealing lime and pineapple. Also, rich caramel, velvety vanilla, warm spices, ripe orchard fruits, and a whisper of floral essence, with waxy fruits, mineral notes, pepper, and ginger.
- Finish
- Long and lingering, oaky yet sweet and succulent with clinging citrus oils. Notes of varnished wood, well-worn leather, mild tobacco, wine gums, tangerine, thick dripping honey, custard, and lingering vanilla with a hint of menthol. Pears, lemongrass, white pepper, and a complex mix of waxed fruits, apple, banana, toffee, and butterscotch are also present.
