Description

A Speyside malt distillery that is owned by the Chivas Brothers division of Pernod Ricard. Since first acquired by Hiram Walker in 1930, the distillery has been essential to the Ballantine's blends and very little of its production has ever been spared for bottling as single malt. Gordon & MacPhail is a historic blender, independent bottler.

Notes of brown sugar covered stewed raisins mingle with hints of roasted hazelnuts. Delicate floral aromas are complemented by sweet vanilla and freshly cut dry hay. Apples, peaches, and tropical fruit with honey.
Palate
Full and fruity with stewed apple, cinnamon, and clove flavours. Ripe summer berries, fresh mint, and toasted malt undertones. Honey, peaches, lemongrass, elderflower, and vanilla.
Finish
Long with lingering charred oak and a subtle herbal undertone. Sweet caramel, honey, sandalwood, chocolate milk, and cinnamon-dusted baked apples.
