Glenburgie Original Collection 13 Year Old, Port & Refill Bourbon Cask, 2010, Cadenhead's, 46%

Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises - located next to the Springbank distillery - also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries. This Glenburgie-Glenlivet 13 Year Old was distilled in 2010 and initially spent around two years in port casks. It was then transferred to refill bourbon casks for approximately one year to balance the flavor profile, resulting in a deliciously rounded dram. It is part of Cadenhead's Original Collection and is non-chill filtered.
