Description

A Speyside malt distillery that is owned by the Chivas Brothers division of Pernod Ricard. Since first acquired by Hiram Walker in 1930, the distillery has been essential to the Ballantine's blends and very little of its production has ever been spared for bottling as single malt. One of Scotland's most iconic and long-running independent bottling brands. Introduced by Gordon & MacPhail in the 1970s. Glencraig was a single malt produced between 1958 and 1981 at the Glenburgie distillery using Lomond stills, which produced a distinct style of spirit.

Nose
Honey, lemon, freshly baked cookies. Peat is also detected.
Palate
A bit sweeter. Lovely malt notes, with a touch of sweet biscuit. A slight bitterness, presumably from the sherry cask, combined with a hint of peat.
Finish
Excellent, leaving the palate beautifully warm.
