This GlenDronach 1972 39 Year Old Single Cask #2033 was distilled in February 1972 and matured in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry Puncheon before being bottled in April 2011. This single malt Scotch whisky offers a complex and intense taste experience, pampering the palate with ripe fruit notes, spicy oak hints, dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a hint of tobacco. It was an exclusive release for the Taiwan market, with an outturn of 450 bottles.

Beautifully aromatic and intense, with elegant floral qualities combined with a fabulous sherried influence. Notes of apple, plum, and damson ride upon a wave of sweet raisins, along with fresh roses, passion fruit ganache, raspberries, redcurrant jam, cherry plums, big oak polish, and hints of mint.
Palate
Bold and invigorating, yet laden with class and maturity. It presents red grapes and dense fruit cake drenched with date syrup, a harmonious symphony of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a hint of tobacco. Classic Christmas cake, dates, and sultanas lead to a wave of superb tropical notes like tangerine, guava, and passion fruits.
Finish
Very long, with notes of wood, figs, walnuts, and spices, evolving into leather and spices.
