Nose
The experience begins with deep, decadent aromas characteristic of long-term PX maturation. Expect sticky Highland toffee, dense fruitcake, and layers of wildflower honey. There is a refined undertone of old tobacco leaf and polished mahogany that speaks to its quarter-century in wood.
Palate
At 54.5% ABV, the arrival is powerful but velvety. It leads with blackcurrant jam and a surprising, cooling hint of menthol that cuts through the richness. The core is dominated by sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate ganache, and stewed plums.
Finish
The finish is exceptionally long and evolves from sweet to savory. It leaves a lingering coat of dark manuka honey, aniseed, and liquorice, with the dry tannins of the Spanish oak providing a sophisticated, firm structure.
