Description

A malt distillery located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region. As of 2016 it is American-owned by the Brown-Foreman Corporation through its Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Famed for its preference for sherry cask-ageing, it has long been an established single malt brand.

Very fruity with red grapefruit, kiwi, melon, apples, lemons, lychee, guava, plum jam, wet earth, tobacco leaves, leather, tropical fruits, sultanas dipped in honey, baked goods, vanilla, stone fruit, and a creamy texture.
Palate
Grapefruit with spice, tropical mix nectar with melon, papaya, dried pineapple, dark chocolate, oranges, raisins, great mouth-feel, and creamy.
Finish
Fruity and exotic, coffee, wood, bitter-sweet prune jam, and a bit of damp wood.
