Description

The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival was discontinued in 2015 due to stock shortages and re-released in 2018. It is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery was founded in 1826 by James Allardice.

Nose
An intoxicating burst of maraschino cherry, ripe bramble, and dark chocolate mint, with hints of orange bitters and walnut liqueur. Ripe plums and sultanas mixed with fig jam, dark roasted coffee and red cherries with bits of cocoa, toasted nuts, light malt and oranges.
Palate
Honey-glazed apricot and ripe fig with a crescendo of black cherry, angelica and muscovado sugar, featuring an oily, mouth-coating texture with toasted nuts and cocoa powder. Buttery pastry wrapped around figs and roasted apricots, sherry sweetness, hints of wood and nuts, cloves and nutmeg.
Finish
Long and enveloping, with dark manuka honey, herbal bitters, dark chocolate, and warming baking spices including cinnamon and cloves. Lingering notes of ripe plums, cinnamon and dried fruit.
