Description

A malt distillery located in Forgue by Huntly in the eastern Highland region. As of 2016 it is American-owned by the Brown-Foreman Corporation through its Benriach Distillery Company subsidiary. Famed for its preference for sherry cask-ageing, it has long been an established single malt brand.

Fine Oloroso sherry, bitter chocolate sauce, plum pudding, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, dark fruits, toffee, espresso, toasted almonds, and a syrupy, rich mouthfeel.
Finish
Long and lingering with sherry tones, chocolate, luscious fruit, pepper, dark fruit, roasted spice, and a pleasant tannic presence.
