Nose
Rich notes of dark chocolate, dried figs and raisins, with hints of toffee and roasted nuts. Unmistakably sherried, with big aromas of dark fruit (figs, raisins, prune) and a wave of toasted nuts, dark chocolate, and hints of burnt sugar. Touches of cinnamon bark and old leather.
Palate
Full-bodied and intense with layers of sherry sweetness, spiced oak, orange peel and a touch of coffee. Thick and warming, with dried fruits upfront (raisins, dates, baked apples). A bolder spiciness emerges (clove, black pepper, nutmeg), balanced by a chewy malt core.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering cocoa, spice and fruity sherry notes. Persistent and drying, with lingering oak, cocoa powder, and spice. The sherry cask influence remains strong, leaving a leathery, slightly tannic aftertaste.
