Description

Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. The Glenfarclas Family Cask series is an ongoing range of single-cask bottlings from the family's extensive collection, which spans seven decades. This 1955 bottling is one of the oldest in the range and is a marvellous gift for anyone for whom 1955 was a significant year. [1, 7, 8]
