Nose
Very closed at first, old school sherry, dusty bookshelves, bags of mushrooms and nutmeg. Sweet yet spicy Oloroso style, vague yeasty notes, nutty liqueur, dark chocolates, herbal notes, and hint of raspberries.
Palate
Dark berries, vague elderberry and blackcurrant, more nuts and chocolates, mulled wine and lots of malt. Overripe oranges mid palate with a streak of bitter oak.
Finish
Bitter/spicy (peppery) with some cloves.
