Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This Glenfarclas 1953 Pagoda Sapphire Reserve is a 63-year-old single malt, part of the prestigious Pagoda Series which pays tribute to the distillery's pagoda-style kiln. It was bottled in 2017 and released in 2020, presented in a jewel-encrusted Glencairn crystal decanter.
