Description
Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit. This is a limited edition bottling of Glenfarclas single malt, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2017 for the German market, featuring a portrait of Scottish philosopher and essayist Thomas Carlyle. It is part of 'The Famous Scots Edition' series and was released as Edition No. 21, with an outturn of 3,000 bottles.
