Description

The Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Distillery Edition is a higher strength, non-chill filtered single malt Scotch whisky, matured in American and European oak barrels, including ex-bourbon and Spanish oloroso sherry casks. It was first released around 2010, initially for the duty-free market, and was considered a special release. While it was discontinued in 2014 for some markets, it remains available in others, sometimes as a regular part of the standard age line-up. This expression is known for showcasing the distillery's character with added complexity and a higher ABV of 51%.

Sweet fruits, honey, butterscotch, pepper, and wood spice. Smooth, warming, creamy spiciness with vanilla and luscious fruit flavours. Powerful blackberry, deep caramel, spiced orange peel, black pepper, red fruits, citrus, cinnamon, and nutty notes.
Finish
Medium, with lingering sweetness, oaky bitterness, wood spice, and pepper. Velvety warm, with black pepper, malt, salt, oak, and drying dark red fruits. Some smoke may emerge with water.
