Description
Glenfiddich 40 Year Old Rare Collection 2008 Edition is a Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, aged for 40 years in a combination of European Oloroso sherry and American bourbon casks. This limited edition release, bottled in 2008, is part of Glenfiddich's Rare Collection and utilizes a unique 'remnant vatting' process, where a portion of each batch is retained and blended into the next release, creating a continuous thread of aged spirit. Only 600 bottles were produced for this highly sought-after expression, each presented in a high-quality lockable wooden presentation box, often described as hand-stitched calf-leather with an intricately designed lock and key. It has received numerous accolades, including trophies at the ISC and IWSC in 2008.
