Description

Glenfiddich was founded in Dufftown by William Grant, with the first spirit running from the stills on Christmas Day 1887. The distillery has grown to become one of the best-selling brands of single malt whisky in the world. The Age of Discovery 19 Year Old Bourbon Cask is the second release in the Age of Discovery series, inspired by exploration and matured exclusively for 19 years in American ex-Bourbon casks. This expression offers a refined balance of spicy sweetness and rich dried fruit flavors.

Warm, crunchy toffee and deep citrus notes, marmalade on toast, fine orange liqueur, balanced by dry, almost smoky oak tannin. Vanilla, caramel, and a hint of spice.
Palate
Intriguing layers of light tannin, rich notes of vanilla pod, fine leather and Havana tobacco. Sweet, velvety mouth-feel with spicy hints of cardamom and nutmeg. Creamy malt, caramel, ripe fruit, gentle oak. Toffee, oak, and a touch of bourbon sweetness.
Finish
Warm, delightful long finish with apple tart and warm spicy flavours. Lingering oak spice, a return of toffee, faint nuttiness and warm baking spice. Long, smooth and warming with lingering sweetness.
