The Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection VAT 01 is an elegant single malt, part of a travel retail exclusive range launched in 2022. It utilizes Glenfiddich's pioneering Solera Vat process, where whiskies are continuously married in Vat 1, which is never fully emptied. This process ensures continuous layering of sweet and spicy notes, creating a soft, mellow, and balanced whisky with added depth from maturation in bourbon and red wine casks, along with American and European oak. Beautifully fragrant and floral, with summer blossom notes, hints of creamy vanilla toffee, subtle oakiness, and a touch of zesty citrus in the background. Fresh pear, orchard apple, and honeyed malt are also present. [3, 8, 9, 11, 12]
Palate
Very soft and mellow, with a lovely balance of oak and the trademark Glenfiddich character. Layers of sweetness and spice, hints of freshly ground pepper, toffee, creamy malt, subtle spice, and gentle fruit sweetness.
