Description
This is an extremely rare bottle of 40-year-old Glenfiddich, part of the Rare Collection, bottled in 2002 with an outturn of just 600 bottles. It is made through a pioneering 'remnant vatting' process where the Malt Master marries 40-year-old vattings with remnants from previous bottlings, allowing the whisky to absorb evolving flavors over time. Glenfiddich, founded in 1887 by William Grant, is one of the world's best-selling single malt whisky brands. [cite: 2, 3, 10, 11, 13, 18, Scotch Whisky Auctions]
