Description

This Glenfiddich 50 Year Old is considered an heirloom and the pinnacle of Glenfiddich's whisky-making expertise. It is drawn from two casks that matured for 50 years in Warehouse 8, then married for six months in an American oak barrel. Only 50 bottles of this single malt Scotch whisky are released each year, part of a strictly limited supply of 450 bottles. Each bottle is uniquely hand-blown, individually numbered in wax, and decorated with Scottish silver. It is presented in a beautifully hand-stitched, black leather case with an accompanying certificate of authenticity and details book.

Nose
A beautifully harmonious, uplifting, vibrant and complex aroma with delicate floral notes of rose petals and violets, intertwined with green tobacco leaf, oak, and faint hints of smoke.
Palate
Initially very sweet with zesty orange marmalade and vanilla toffee, cascading through layers of aromatic herbs, floral and soft fruits, silky oak tannin, and gentle smoke.
Finish
Exceptionally long with a touch of dry oak and the merest trace of peat.
