Description
Glenfiddich was founded in Dufftown by William Grant, who had honed his craft at Mortlach distillery; and on Christmas Day 1887 the first spirit ran from the stills. Thanks to Grant's tenacity and stubborn self belief, the distillery flourished during a period of turbulence in the industry, and has grown to become one of the best selling brands of single malt whisky in the world. This iconic single malt is matured for a minimum of 12 years in a careful selection of the finest American Oak and European Oak Sherry casks. It is characterized by its distinctive fresh and fruity character, with notes of pear, apple, butterscotch, cream, malt, and subtle oak.
